Q: I have prefinished hardwood floors in my home that are about 5 years old. They are getting scratched and dull. I want to refinish them. I was told by the manufacturer of the floors I can just coat them a few times with a water base polyurethane. I do not need to sand the pre existing finish off, just lightly sand between each coat. Sounds easy, but I think it will probably be more complicated than that.
