: water valve not closing all the way will cause the tube to freeze. What kind of refridge do you have? May be a bad thermostat in icemaker.
I have this same problem and it coincided with me moving the refrigerator from one house to another. I did not lay the fridge on it's side but it was at an angle while moving it with a dolly. As mentioned above, the water dispensor works and I turned it off for a day and left the refrigerator door open because the 'tube' was frozen. It still is not making ice!
