I had the same problem... Turns out that there was no obstruction in the pipe, but the reservoir that the pipe feeds into had frozen ice in. So when the water would get discharged into the reservoir, there was no place to go, and it would spill into the freezer and eventually out of the refridgerator. I think it's just faulty design, because a month after I fixed the problem it recurred. What I had to do was to thaw out the ice in the reservoir which is a small plastic bucket-shaped piece at the very rear and just at above the ice-maker's location of where the ice is formed....
