: : : : MY 3.5 YEAR OLD SIDE BY SIDE DOESN'T MAKE ICE-
: : : I HAVE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THE WATER SOURCE ISN'T CLOGGED - CHECKED THE PUMPS. THE WATER DESPENSER WORKS- THE FILTER WAS REPLACED.

: : : I CAN ONLY FIGURE THE MOTOR OR THE BRAIN ON THE ICE MAKER IS BURNT OUT AND/OR DOESN;T SEND A MESSAGE TO THE WATER. TELLING IT TO SEND WATER TO MAKE ICE. ONE MORE THING- THE WATER TUBE THAT DROPS WATER INTO THE TRY WAS FROZEN OUT TO THE LINE. - I HAVE SINCE DEFROSTED IT. THAT IS WHY I THINK THE MOTOR OR BRAIN IN BURNT OUT.

: : : THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
: : : LET ME KNOW

:
: : water valve not closing all the way will cause the tube to freeze. What kind of refridge do you have? May be a bad thermostat in icemaker.

:
: I have this same problem and it coincided with me moving the refrigerator from one house to another. I did not lay the fridge on it's side but it was at an angle while moving it with a dolly. As mentioned above, the water dispensor works and I turned it off for a day and left the refrigerator door open because the 'tube' was frozen. It still is not making ice!

I have the same problem after moving. I have a Kenmore that worked fine 3 miles away now no water to ice maker. Any ideas?
Patrick
