I also have a side-by-side Kenmore Elite, which I purchased about 1 year ago and the warranty is of course over. I also have the same icemaker problem - stopped making ice. Have defrosted the freezer and can blow air through the water line to the icemaker - no blockage. Have purchased a new Solenoid Valve ($50)- Didn't work. I also have water flowing out of the dispenser. Am interested in the thought of override or reset switches. Tried to purchase a new sensor ($70) but wanted to return it if it didn't work - it was a no go at the parts store. Any other ideas?
