: It sounds like you have the same exact problem as me! Sears will charge $55 must to come and take a look, and then add on for parts and labor to fix the problem. I am trying to get hints to fix this thing before calling a repairman. I did talk to a service person at another shop and he said to check if there is ice caught in the ejector or ice in the line. I am sure that I don't have ice in the line, and I checked for any ice cubes or buildup in the ice making mechanism - it was clear. Other than that he had no suggestions. Personally I feel that the problem is in the control center of the ice maker and the only fix is to replace the control, which may be the replacement of the entire icemaker portion.
: I was told that there are no overrides or test switches.
: What is that light for near the icemaker on/off switch? It occasionally blinks when I am checking the icemaker.
I have a Kenmore installed today. It also has the blinking light next to the ice maker on off sw. Nothing in the book, and salesman is off today. I suspect it is an error light indecating no water in ice tray. My water line was filled with air and water did not fill tray on first cycle. Later had to run water through door quite a while before water started to flow. Will see if it fills later today and if the light stops blinking. It gives two quick blinks, pauses then repeats. Can find no FAQ on Sears web site or place to email questions.
