I have a Kenmore 106.9555712 refrigerator (side by side 1996) and everytime the icemaker filled it would overflow water all over the crappen place.

I found a great link for icemakers that explained some things in easy to understand language. I was able to repair my machine and save the expense of replacing the icemaker. The site will not give you the details of how to fixed it but will offer you some much needed help.

The web site will show you how to adjust the water level screw or knob and cycle the Icemaker. Here is the web-site I found. Please read it carefully before you make any adjustments to your ice maker. If yours does not look like the one shown maybe they will have one like yours if you dig around a little. The one shown was exactly like mine.

The level adjustment did not help me because I had some gunk on the inside of the gear that makes the contact with the timer. I cleaned the contacts, placed some petroleum jelly on the contacts and put mine back together and it works perfectly.

If the adjustment does not help you, feel free to email me and I will send you the details of what I did. The details are to long to post here.

Remove the "nospam" from the email address.

Good luck!
