Hi Robin
If your furnace has a belt driven blower it is fairly easy job to do.
1) Turn the power off
2) Remove the access panel
3) Make a note so to remember were the wires are
connected.
4) Find & remove the bolts that are holding the blower housing.
5) Remove the blower housing.
6) Take the blower to a furnace service centre so
that they can check the bushings & shaft. It is
easier for you to do this so that at avery low cost they could tell you excactly what is worn & needed. If you ask they will show you & show you
how to replace the parts required. At least this way you have the obtion to have them do the repairs to the blower or purchase the parts & do
the nessary repairs yourself.
Even if you decide to have them repair the blower
remember you have already saved money on the service call.
