: Generally Whirlpool dryers have a ceramic resistor at the timer which supplies the timer motor power once the heat has gone off in the automatic cycles so that they can shut off. Sounds like it is an open circuit (burned out). Testable with an ohmmeter once disconnected. Good Luck. Dave.
