: We are being told by our builder that it is just as much money to build a 6" thick, 10' x 20' concrete patio as it is to build a wood deck of the same size. We feel that it should be significantly less. What do you think?

Peter
I'm sorry I have never compared the prices. Concrete poured as a slab is going for around $2.75 to $3.00 per. sq. ft. around here if the slab is elevated it is more. You will have to check prices in you area to make a decision.
