: Hi

: We have a problem at our house. It is a brick veneer about 30 years old and some of the bricks are crumbling. The surface is flaking on these bricks and the crumbling extends about 2-3 millimetres into the surface.

: What is it? And what can we do to fix it please?

Brian
In most cases brick crumbling or flaking is caused by water penetration. A good sealer will slow the process but you may have to repoint the joints and replace the damaged brick to completly solve the problem.
