: I have a porch and steps that were poured 2 yrs ago and it was a poor job. I put a concrete stain on and it still doesn't look good. I want to put the 1" pavers on over the concrete. We live in Utah where we can get below freezing in the winter. What can I use to glue the pavers down with, I am going to butt them together without mortor in between. Would appreciate any help. Thank You, Jim White

You should be able to set the thin brick in thinset but I feel you are making a mistake by leaving the joints open. The chance of water penetration is greater with the open joints and with freeze thaw cyles this can create to many problems.
