In Reply to: how to measure amount of concrete needed for sidewalk Posted by: phil on June 19, 2000 at 15:14:50:
: I'm in the process of removing an old walkway .
: I'm not quite sure about how to calculate the amount of concrete I'll need to replace it .
: Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is the only part of the job that will give me a problem.
: Thanks .
Phil
The length x width x thickness = cubic feet. There is 27 cubic feet of concrete to the cubic yard. Or you can do it the easy way and take the length x width = square feet and that 1 cubic yard of concrete will pour 80 square feet 4 inches thick.
