: I've noticed that my swimming pool is loosing its water, and have found a 6" crack in the shallow end of the pool floor. I think the cause is the roots of a near-bye ficus tree which I will remove. I'd like to know if this is a repair I can do myself, and what I need to do. Thanks.

My husband and I have a pool. To successfully fix
a crack we had, we bought a product called,
WaterPlug which is made by Thoro.
My husband chipped away a "trench" where the
crack was. Mixed up some of this Water Plug and
trowled it into the trench. WaterPlug is the color
of cement. So we then used another one of their
products called, ThoroSeal to paint/coat the whole
bottom of our pool. This ThoroSeal comes in
colors, we use white. It not only looks great
but it also seals the cement too.
