brick stairs and side half wall

I am bricking my front stairs.They are 7'wide,I would like to put side half walls on.Do you know the correct height from the top platform that the wall should extend to? And also,do you think the wall would look better if it followed the contour of the stairs,extended out from the platform at a 45 angle to the bottom step,or straight out at a 90 angle to bottom step. What is the best way to tie the wall into the stairs? I am having a hard time finding pictures. Thank you.
