In Reply to: Getting paint off of concrete Posted by: Lee on July 25, 2000 at 22:29:15:
: Greetings one and all,
: My wife and I bought an old house, the lady before us painted the wood porch and the concrete steps the same color of blue. The paint appears to be an epoxy, but I am not sure of that. The paint on the steps is cracking and needs to be replaced. How does one remove the paint from the concrete, surely there is a simpler way than having one's wife chip it away with a putty knife, which is what is happening now, God love her.
: Thanks in advance for any advice.

Lee,
I think I have found the answer...Three Little letters.... CLR. It is used to remove Calcium, Lime and Rust (CLR.) I just tried it on the paint in the basement and it is doing wonders, it even took the wood stain out. I was desperated and neede help myself...SPRAED THE WORD!!!!! A scrub brush (scotch brand w/ a handle) and a ton on water will help as well!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
Monica.
