The brick layers did a good job laying the brick on our new home until they started to wash the white accent brick with Sure Clean. The acid/base reaction left us with trim brick that has brown tobacco stains spotted along the front windows. I really don't want to make them tear out what has been done. I would rather find some way to touch up the errors without putting all of us through a tear-down/replace mess.
The brick is covered with a soft white powdery substance. Of course the manufacturer says there's no way to fix the problem except buy more of his bricks and replace them.
There must be something we can try. Ray
