: Hello,

: We have some bricks from an old building. It was
: taken down 12 years ago. Cleaning bricks has been
: difficult. We have tried scraping, while effective, it is very time consuming. We were told
: about muratic acid and used 1 part acid and 10
: parts water. It did not work like we anticipated.
: How strong of a solution? Are there any other options?

BJ
Muratic acid will breakdown the portland cement the problem is it is a chemical reaction and the amount of acid to clean more then a film of mortar would be more then I would like to deal with. Chipping and scraping work the best sorry.
