: Is anyone aware of a primer on installing recessed lighting, including how you find the proper wires in the ceiling? I'm trying to brighten up our house, and don't want to electrocute myself. Thanks very much.

If you are very comfortable replacing or installing a new outlet, or wiring in a ceiling fan or new light fixture, then recessed lights are basically the same thing. There is just the added challenge of getting in your attic, cutting holes in the drywall, and standing on a ladder. They sell the light fixtures, the 4-5 ft Romex type flexible conduit to connect them, and off you go.
