I need to install an industrial ceiling fan. The switch that came with the fan is a Forward/reverse infinite speed dimmer. The diagram shows that I need to connect the 4 wires from the fan to the 4 terminals on the dimmer. here's the problem : I only have the live and the ground wire in the ceiling. So here's the question : what's the easiest way to pass a 4-wire harness along the existing path between the ceiling fixture and the switch outlet ? The ceiling fixture is about 15 feet away from the switch outlet, halfway up along the wall and the other half up along a 30 deg. ceiling. Now I know that the live wire runs between the switch and the ceiling. Is my only option to attach the 4-wire harness to the end of the live wire and to pull the whole thing from the other end without making holes in the wall and ceiling ?
Thanks.
