Woodstove Outlet Pipe

We recently purchased a Blaze King - King wood burning stove from a rummage sale. The outlet out of the stove is 8", but our connector pipe between the stove and the chimney is 6". The chimney is 8". The basement where the connector pipe outlets to the chimney is cinder block. What I am wondering is can we replace the connector pipe to an 8" or is there some type of reducer that can be put on the stove outlet?

Don't reduce the pipe from the stove; the manufacturer made it that big because in the tests, they needed the 8-inch to work correctly. The 6-inch connector thimble can be broken out and an 8" thimble inserted with chimney mortar to seal gaps.
