Leaking Shower Head

I just replaced my shower head with a new one and water drips out of it all the time. I have turned the hot and cold nobs off as far as I can and still it leaks intermitently. How do I fix it? How do I turn off the water? How do I get to whatever is allowing water to continally come out of the shower head? It's driving me nuts!

The first thing that you want to do is go to your pressure tank and turn off the water. It will be located where your cold water comes into the house. After you have done that, go to your shower and drain any water that is in the lines out. After that, take your shower valves apart to determine what is causing your problem. More than likely, you either have a bad O-Ring or there is dirt or something keeping something the O-Ring from making a good seal. Check both the hot and cold water while you have the water off. After you have fixed the problem make sure that you have reassembled everything properly before going back to your pressure tank and turning the water back on. Turn the water on slowly, to reduce shock to the system by sudden water pressure.
