For the past few weeks my furnace only runs for a small period of time. Then I have to remove the cover and reset the switch to get it started again. Sometimes it will stay running for several hours. Other time for only a few minutes, before I have to reactivate the switch again. Any comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
My thought is that as the button must be pushed, there is somthing wrong with the burner operation because flame sensing devices inside the burner are shutting the burner off for SAFETY reasons.
As burner mechanics usually have a mechanical aptitude, and interest in spending several months in a technical school to learn how to repair burners, an investment in the proper test instruments and tools, and a willingness to go to houses of others who do not share most of the same attributes; they gather techniques over time to help make families safe as part of their profession. They must have a necessary place in this world and some are good guys. Call one NOW!
