My Kitchen has floor to ceiling pine on all walls. It's old and has faded badly. I know refinishing it is a lot of work. So we chose to paint it. What would be the primer I would want to use to insure that lifetime of the paint. I believe the walls were stained then a clear coat was put on afterwards. Much Thanks.

You will have to sand the walls first. Then put the primer on. I am not sure what kind of primer to use. I prefer the natural look of the pine. I would sand then just apply a coat of polyurethane.
