My stove has a gas smell in the house every time my wife will use the oven. When we use the broiler its okay, only smell gas when the oven is in use. Thank you.

Answer:
The most common occurance on ovens is the primary air shutter is not set properly. Loosen the set screw on the shutter and open it wider. Make sure that both sides of the burner ignite smoothly after adjustment. The main burner flame should not lift off the ports. If it does re-adjust the air shutter back a little bit. Contact your local utility to do a carbon monoxide check on the oven and check for minor gas leaks on the range.
