: : I just removed some carpet and pad from my basement floor. I don't want to put carpet back I want to paint floor but I have adhesive on the floor from padding and tack strips they put down how can I get it up to paint floor : HELP!!!
: : TOM

I use Goo Gone. A citrus based adhesive remover. Cheap and works great (let is sit and remove with putty knife or nylon scrubber if it doesn't life off immediately). No chemicals. I bought it at Lowes Home Center (like Home Depot etc). I had used very strong two sided carpet tape (that actually pulled up part of the wood when I unknowingly pulled it up). It can be used for those annoying pricing tag marks left on plastic, really anything.
Good stuff.
