: : fully urinated. Get the carpet PROFESSIONALLY cleaned.

: : I mean the industrial cleaners instead.

: : using special cleaners. They should be listed in the yellow

: : Rainie
: Actually, the cat was a female. We have opted to completely tear out the carpet and pad - you wouldn't believe how BAD it is!! We've used a black light, and fortunately, there isn't any spray up on the walls or baseboards. What we have been told to do by the "industrial strength" carpet guys, is to:
: 1. Tear out the carpet & Pad & tack strips (and we are keeping enough for evidence when we haul them into court).
: 2. Thoroughly vacuum the area including under the baseboards.
: 3. Clean with a bleach solution.
: 4. Treat with an enzyme product.
: 5. Seal it with BIN made by Zinsser
: 6. And pray that it all works.
: Thanks for you suggestions and ideas - they've been much appreciated.
Thank you Wendy for your information. I also have that problem with cat's urinating on the carpet. I had to rip up my carpet and was wondering what to use on the cement to get rid of the ordor. And if there was a sealer to apply on the cement so if they pee on the tile and it slips thru the cracks of the tile to the cement it won't absorb into it again.
thanx again,
