: I'd like to dye my carpet in my home but I'm uncertain where to purchase the dye and I don't know which kind to get!

first, you can not use just any dye, you have to use carpet dyes. Second, what type of carpet do you have? some fiber types can not be dyed. then, it is a process that can only be done by trained professionals, repeat, trained professionals. there are several steps that have to be done first before you can dye the carpet. Please, consult with a trained professional, or, you will ruin your carpet.
Now, dyeing carpet is not like painting a wall. Dyeing carpet will not cover up areas, what ever color dye you add will mix with what ever dye is already in the fiber, so, if you have a red carpet, and, add blue dye, you will be a purple carpet, do you want a purple carpet?
