: : My son owns a two story house. The upstairs floors squeak like crazy in some places. I can tell the problem is that the sub-flooring has come loose and rises and falls every timeyou step on them where they are loose. They have carpet on top of them. What is the best(and simpliest) method to resolve this situation?

: : Thanks for any valid solutions!
: : Bill Gray

: O'Berry Enterprises has a system called Squeeeeek-no-more that can be used where carpeting is used over a wood subfloor. The kit contains all that you need to place special screw in the floor through carpet into the joist. I'm not sure who carries this product, ie, Home Depot-etc.
: There is a good article on the kit in "Today's Homeowner" Dec 1999-Jan-2000 issuse.

I found this on the web. o'berry has a list of stores by state that carry the Squeeeek-no-more Kit $30.00
