: This has probably been asked before, so excuse me up front, I just can't find it as I scroll down. anyhoo, I want to insall a laminate flooring in my walk-out family room. We want a color like "butcher block maple", not too dark, not too light. I assumed I would use Pergo, but now that I shop around, I hear that some of the other brands may be more durable. One flooring store told me the Wilsonart(?)(or Armstrong brand) had a ceramic coating on it and was more durable. Can anyone give me an honest opinion on durability? I plan to keep it well swept and mopped, but there will be a lot of foot traffic. I am replacing carpet, the sub floor is solid and level and ready to go.

I have been looking into the same kind of flooring and it was just suggested to me to look into "Formica" brand laminate flooring. It is supposed to be MUCH more moisture resistent and has a good warranty. This doesn't answer your question, but does add another choice!
