First try steam clean the carpet, that may help.
ALSO you can try the wet towel and iron method...lay a
damp towel over the spots and with an iron steam it BUT
be careful as steam is hotter then water and most carpets
are nylon and can melt.
I would FIRST try cleaning the carpet that usually pulls up the
pile enough.
