No need to get nasty Bob as maybe Jimmy is new and
did not know HOW TO post properly. Patience is a virtue.
Anyways we rented a pipe cutter...works with a bunch
of small cutters and a ratchet motion...squeeze tight
and it runs the cutters along the pipe..rachet it tight
till it eventually breaks.
Have to tell you it WILL NOT be a clean cut
unless you get a gas powered cutter but it worked
great for us.
We cut off the stack since our vent sat on a stone wall
and 90 degree'd out we were able to cut off the
vent where all the pipes went into and replaced
the whole thing. Added a collar and was wonderful.
All for a $10 rental instead of $45 for an hour with
a gas powered cutter.
