: Yesterday, I notice air still being blown out of the vents through out the house. The heat works and so does cool are, but when the thermostat is on the off position, air is still being blown out of the vents. What do I do to correct this?

check that the thermostat fan switch is not in the on position it should be in auto. You may have a sticking heat squencer for you electric elements. If you have a digital thermostat it may be blown sometimes that static spark in the winter as you walk across the carpet and touch the thermostat is enough to kill it.
