I made a BIG mistake by not cleaning the lids and rims of my paint tins after painting my house. Now after opening them for re-touching, they are quite gluggy and hard to close. I would prefer to transfer the paint into some other container, rather than trying to clean the impossible! Any good suggestions on what type of container I can use? Do they actually sell something in the paint shops for this?

Answer:
I was in an Ace hardware store over the weekend and needed a container to mix my paint in and they had new (empty) paint cans with lids. I think they were about $3.00 for a quart size, I don't know if they had bigger sizes or not.
