: I have a 220 battery tender that has three wires (no plug yet) that must be connected to a four wire female outlet. The tender 3 wires are black/black/green. The 4 wire outlet is white/black/other/green.

: Thanks, Joe

The battery tender is 220 volt single phase (two phase wires and a ground). The outlet is 110/220 volt single phase (two phase wires, a neutral and a ground). Replace outlet with 220v single phase outlet and get 220 volt single phase plug. coil neutral in outlet box and cap with wire nut. Good luck
