I have the same problem and I found on the internet that you cannot wash it out. Hang clothing in the hot sun or at the very least hang just to air out. One comment was that a hot dryer helps; but I know you have to make sure that you will not shrink your clothing doing that. Air will dissipate the smell. This is because of what moth balls are made of. Good luck.
