I have a RCA 36 " tv, no sound ,no picture ? What could it be fuse, bad cord,?

Not much chance. If it's under 3 years old it could be the power supply. If older, maybe the line output stage or anything else. Take it to a shop for a free quote. They won't tell you what is wrong but they will tell you how much the repair will cost.
