I bought an old platform rocker for a very nice price. Unfortunately it has a name written in magic marker on one of the arms. How do I remove it?

Answer:

What sort of finish is on the rocker? On paint, I have had luck with acetone on permanent magic marker, but that will eat into your finish if it isn't paint. You may need to sand the name off and refinish in the same manner as the rest of the chair.
