Can I repair the hole it looks like sheetrock? The hole is 3 ft. long and 2 ft. wide, it happened from water damage. Help!

Answer:
You can repair the damaged area by cutting out the drywall to extend from one ceiling joist to another, (ie. cut the repaired area larger than the damaged area). The reason for the extension of the area is to provide a solid nailing surface for the new drywall patch. The patch will then have to be primed and refinished to match the remainer of the ceiling. Good luck!
