Where can I find reading material on painting my
kitchen counter tops and instructions on how it's
done. especially marblizing.

: : how can I do it myself - resurfing or painting the kitchen counter tops rather than going to the expense of buying new ones

: You can paint laminated surfaces with proper priming and finishes.( I'm assuming laminate, because you didn't mention tile.) There is a lot of literature out there on faux finishes, a popular finish for counters is marblizing. Some people have been known to decoupage counters. Don't be afraid, do the reading and the project and enjoy!
