Can anyone tell me how good the quality of Behr Premium Plus paint is? I have always heard that Benjamin Moore is the best, but I found a great color in Behr that I haven't seen at Benjamin Moore. If it matters, I am painting my kitchen.

Wal-Mart got best buy rating from Consumer Report magazine several years ago. Go figure.

I have used both and I believe Behr is a better paint. Goes on somewhat smoother and the colors stay truer.

I just painted my bedroom "Macadamia" in an eggshell finish and the paint in my opinion is excellent. Very smooth and a good quality paint. We bought enough for two coats, but the paint was so rich, one coat was sufficient. We wish we had discovered the paint sooner. We would have saved a fortune painting our other bedrooms, all of which required two coats.

Behr paint is very good, probably one of the best paints you can buy. Don't think so. Neither does Consumer Reports. Benjamin Moore for interior and oil-based porch paint. Maxum for exterior latex. Pratt & Lambert used to be good, no longer is. Everything from Glidden/ICI is junk.
