Central Air

I’ve got a place with central air conditioning. The outside unit has a hose which goes through the basement wall and coils around several turns before going into the hot air furnace. This inside coil of hose which is about 2 feet in diameter is repeatedly icing up and then subsequently melting. The A/C appears to be working, but I have never seen the hose ice up before. Any suggestions as to what is happening and how to cure it?

Answer:
Take a look at the air filter in the furnace, also take a look at the fan belt if there is one as well. These are the first steps after that you should call a technician before the A/C unit gets dammaged from the ice up occuring.
