I recently bought a new house and while moving in I scraped one of the walls. The gash is about an inch long and 1/4 of an inch deep. My question is, how do I repair the gash and because my walls have a rough stucco like finish, how do I make it look just like new?

Answer:
This repair is pretty straight forward. Use Drywall compund to fill in the divot, then to match the texture, lay the flat side of your putty knife on the wet compound and pull away slowly. This will pull some of the compound up provide a texture. Repeat until the texture matches the existing finish. This is your chance to be an artist. Good Luck!
