I want to install a medicine cabinet in one of my bathrooms. When I cut the hole in the wall, I found that the 3 inch bathroom vent pipe was in the way. Can I cut the pipe about 2 foot from the floor and use 45 degree angle PVC to start moving the pipe 18 inches to the left and 4 feet up? Then continue to use 3 more 45 degree angles to move the pipe around my work area bring the pipe back to original location. Will this modification provide adequite ventilation and proper toilet operation for my bathrooms?

Answer:
As long as this is just a vent pipe you're okay. If it's not and you have other fixtures draining into it....(remember, the less severe the angles -on vertical runs - the better).
